Two Rivers is a school for children with special needs for pupils aged between 11-16.

Some eight years ago an engineering club was set up to encourage and promote their practical skills.

Since then, they have built a two man hover craft and a  petrol powered off road buggy. All designed and built from scratch in order to complete in a national competition.

In 2008, the school entered the ‘Green Power Electric Car’ challenge by building their own electric car.  After one full year of racing they qualified 30th overall out of 420 cars taking part. This was particularly impressive as Two Rivers School was the only special needs school taking part against 150 mainstream entrants.

Congratulations to the whole team for their tremendous efforts.  Projects  such as this depends upon the full support of family, friends and sponsorship.  Servo Interconnect have supplied the connector support.
