On 31st January 2008 Deutsch UK; a leading manufacturer of electrical connectors for the Milaero, transportation and autosport markets, acquired all the shares of Servo Interconnect Ltd from Servo & Electronic Sales Ltd.

Deutsch UK and Servo have worked together over the past 15 years and in January 2005 became a partner in the creation of Servo Interconnect Ltd.

Together with Deutsch UK, Servo Interconnect looks forward to a prosperous future combining the strengths of the two organisations. The resources of both companies will be used in the best interests of our customers under the direction of Trevor Jenkins at Servo Interconnect and David Watters at Deutsch UK. We expect to see further steady growth supplying essential components to the motor racing industry.

Jean-Marie PAINVIN, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DEUTSCH, states, “the acquisition of Servo Interconnect Limited, represents a strategic acquisition for DEUTSCH to reinforce our Distribution network in order to better serve our Customers. We welcome the employees of Servo Interconnect into the Deutsch group”.

Despite the snow and the floods we managed to get to Birmingham again for the Autosport International Show at the NEC.

Trevor Jenkins and Peter Costin manned the stand from Servo Interconnect, with Dave Watters, Paul Webb and Stephanie Lastu from Deutsch UK.

Highlights of the show were the unveiling of the new Force India Formula One car, the Prodrive mechanics building a Subaru Impreza World rally car from scratch on their stand in a day and celebrity drivers such as David Coulthard, Jason Plato, Mark Webber and Jenson Button.

Peter Costin – Field Sales Manager of Servo Interconnect had not been to the exhibition before and said “It was great to see so many of our existing customers and also see a lot of new faces in the Autosport industry. There was a lot to see and do; it was an excellent turn-out”

The Autosport International exhibition will be at the NEC next year on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th January 2009. We hope you can visit at our stand.
